Pretty pictures.

Every cloud.....

As my last post had no pictures at all (just me moaning a lot), I hunted through my phone and found these to make up for the deficiency. I had nothing better to do! I seem to spend quite a lot of time looking at the pretty pictures on my phone, I find it cheers me up (sometimes).
The rest of the country appears to be basking in sunshine. This bit is not, so I have retreated to my bed, as it's the only place I can sit comfortably. The dog has joined me, she's farting prodigiously and there's a selection of grubby hairy patches... It may be time for her (annual) bath.

These are some of my favourite pictures from the adventure so far.... I'd love to get some printed up and framed, but I can't decide which ones. Suggestions please?

My Rainbow

From my front garden.

The best dog beach in the world...

With extra rabbits.

You can see this peak from my bedroom, this is looking East.

And this is looking southwest

And west

Next landfall is the Americas.

Early wild rose. Beautifully scented.

Cobwebs amongst the heather.

On a hazy morning

Ancient rock formations.... a potted geological history

Twilight over the beach

And wind from the south east

Sunrise (!!!!) from the front bedroom...

Ok, this is cheating a bit, it's taken from the ferry at sunset, but what a welcome!

Does anyone remember the poem 'up the airy mountain, down the rushy glen, we daren't go a hunting for fear of little men'?

I think you can see the pattern of the clouds in the sand (or maybe I should stop taking the pills???)

This beats the local rec for a game of 'fetch' anyday!

But she soon got bored with the stick.

And went exploring.

If you look carefully, there's an island in the middle, with a tower.

The north side of the peninsula has a very different character.

Even the light seems different.

This is looking pretty much due west.

You can spend hours exploring and scrambling over the rocks.

The tiny white flecks are sea foam being blown overhead, it was rather blustery!

This makes you very aware of the unforgiving nature of the sea on this coast....

The south side appears much gentler, although the yacht had to take shelter from the wind.

Looking south west.....
